Been feeling like this for far too long.
I hate feeling like I'm being treated as minority. And that is the exact problem in my school. I'm so sick of getting the leftovers or nothing at all. It's almost as if the curriculum you're in defines your whole status and if you're not in that top curriculum, you're basically deemed irrelevent in any decision making process or student Exec roles. Just because one is in an IB curriculum does not equate to them being better equipped for that particular role or job. I just hate when students or staff have this bias in the back of their heads. Academics work JUST as hard if not harder for deserving roles but are always looked down upon because of the curriculum they're in. Some simply get the position they are running for because it's quite obvious that Academics do not have what it takes. It is not fair how those who always preach about inclusiveness or school unity are the ones doing the exclusion and being biased towards 2/3 of the school. It's not a functional commuity where the system has priority on the people in the IB curriculum only. What about everyone else's rights? School is.. just not fun or what it used to be anymore, especially when you're in an environment that solely discourages you beccause of the curriculum you're in.
